Dr. Anita Baker
I graduated as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Kansas State University in 1985. Since then, I have been practicing veterinary medicine in the Colorado Springs area. My dream of owning my own hospital was realized in 2001 with the opening of Animal Hospital of Falcon.

My husband, Wayne, and I have 2 adult children, Jennifer and Tyler. I enjoy spending time with my family, riding my horses, and playing with my dogs.

Before acquiring my Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2002, I also obtained a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science from the University of South Alabama and worked as a Licensed Recreation Therapist teaching horseback riding to disabled children and adults. My first 3 years of practice consisted of a large and small animal practice in rural Oregon and Idaho. Mostly I have been treating small animals and exotics. I like being involved in the local veterinary association. I served on a board that started a low cost spay/neuter clinic, started a veterinary program for a shelter and served as an officer in the veterinary association. I enjoy challenging medical cases and getting to know my clients and patients well.

I gradually moved westward from my Gulf coast home. My most recent home was Omaha, Nebraska before moving to Colorado Springs in 2015. I joined Animal Hospital of Falcon in September 2015. I have two teenage daughters, a teenage Great Dane named George, a beautiful German Shepherd named Gracie, and a kitten named Faye. George loves to join the family on any hiking, camping and sight-seeing adventures. Gracie is a sweet mamma's girl who can't stand being left at home. In my free time I like to sew, crochet, and create arts and crafts projects and natural hygiene products. I am also a very enthusiastic photographer especially when it comes to nature.

I was born and raised in beautiful upstate New York. I spent my childhood working on my grandparent’s dairy farm which was my introduction to the world of living and working with domesticated animals. There wasn’t a time that I was ever without a dog or cat in my home. With great interest and motivation to care for animals I studied animal science at Morrisville State University from 2003-2005. I then transferred to Cornell University in 2005 to continue my studies in animal science. While attending school I worked in a small animal hospital near my hometown, and later found a position at a large 24 hour emergency/referral hospital in Ithaca NY. I relocated to Colorado Springs in 2015 to take advantage of the endless beautiful outdoor activities Colorado has to offer. In 2016 I found a great opportunity working with the wonderful staff at Animal Hospital of Falcon. In my spare time I like to hike and go camping with my girlfriend and our Bull Terrier mix Sydney, or just hang out in our backyard with our 3 cats Norman, Leonard and Little Cat.

As a Germany native we lived in California before settling in Colorado in 2005. I decided to pursue my dream of working with animals so I could help everyone with their care. I graduated from PIMA Medical Institute in 2007 with certification as a Veterinary Assistant. After taking some time off from working in a local veterinary hospital and starting a family, I started at AHOF in early 2015 so I could dedicate my time to you and your pets. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family as we go camping, hanging out with friends and enjoying all the different personalities of my cats, dachshund and yorkie.

I grew up in Colorado Springs, CO. From a young age I realized my great love and appreciation for nature and all living things in it. I decided to go to school where I could learn to take care of animals and be their biggest advocate for the best healthcare. I completed my Associates degree of Veterinary Technology through the PIMA Medical Institute in 2012. I started with Animal Hospital of Falcon in February 2015 and have enjoyed it ever since with the great team and clients and their pets. In my free time I like to read a great thriller book, go swimming or hiking with my friends and coworkers.

I was born and raised in Colorado Springs. I joined the Army when I was 17 and served four years with the air defense artillery department. I’ve always had such a passion for animals so I decided to attend the PIMA Medical Institute’s veterinary technology program. I graduated with an Associates of Veterinary Technology in 2015. I joined Animal Hospital of Falcon’s veterinary team in 2016. I enjoy caring for every pet that comes in. I live by the motto “if you find a job you love, you will never work a day in your life”. I currently have 2 cats of which one I found stranded outside a local restaurant during a winter storm. Outside of work I enjoy being in the outdoors, whether I’m fishing, camping or hiking.

evanEvan, Certified Veterinary Technician
As a native of Colorado I grew up in Conifer. I started my veterinary career as a technician assistant in 2004 at various hospitals (even with the Veterinary Referral Center Neurology department in Denver) I’ve worked with farm livestock, rabbits, birds and small mammals as well as dogs and cats. I obtained my Associates of Veterinary Technology from the Bel-Rea Institute in Denver then took the national exam and earning my certification in 2009. As I continue in my career as a veterinary technician I hope to provide the best care, whether it be through disease prevention or emergent treatment, towards animals that I can so owners can enjoy the most time with their beloved companions. I started working with Animal Hospital of Falcon when I moved to the Falcon area in 2016 with my wife and 2 young daughters. My wife is also a certified veterinary technician. I enjoy playing the piano and violin as well as video games and of course playing with the kids with whatever game they think up. As a family we like being outdoors, flying kites, swimming or just playing in the yard. We currently have a cat and a Sun Conure.
